Creative Director & MP Pioneer
The first MarketPlace employee outside of Phil and Tracy (owners), Josh brought his creative talents to the company just after its inception, taking a chance on a fledgling enterprise, but knowing it was worth the gamble. More than half of his 15-year design and marketing career has now been with MarketPlace, and he wouldn’t have it any other way!
Josh, who brought a flair for design and a well-rounded set of skills to the table, was instrumental in delivering cutting edge executions to some of MarketPlace’s first clients, and he continues to provide a level of service that exemplifies what MarketPlace is all about. His unique perspective and positive attitude have given a company with a rock-solid business and food industry background the creative clout it needed to become the industry leader.
Now, having risen to the level of Creative Director, Josh is responsible for all of the creative work that comes out of MarketPlace. Managing the best team of designers and art directors in the creative field is a responsibility he doesn’t take lightly, and with every project, the bar is set higher in order to stay on the cutting edge of design, marketing, and technology.
- He has been in the graphic design business for more than 15 years, with extensive experience in identity development, illustration, graphic design, art direction, project management, concept development, web design, marketing/strategy, package design, motion graphics, & more.
- He has a broad understanding of the Food & Beverage industry, having worked directly with presidents, CEO’s, & marketing directors on strategic brand development & business-to-business objectives.
- Josh has a wife and two cats, brews great beer, plays on champion flag football, kickball, volleyball, and basketball teams, and sings in a band.
Josh has no “spare” time. And that’s how he likes it! He fills it with all manner of interests that keep him busy the vast majority of his waking hours. He sings in a local band, is an avid homebrewer and winemaker, grows various crops (hops, grapes, peaches, and cherries) in his yard, is as active as he can be in local politics, is an artist, a designer, a cook, donates his time for worthy causes, is involved in multiple organized sports and activities (flag football, kickball, basketball, and volleyball leagues), goes to every Cardinal game possible, loves to spend time with his wonderful wife and 2 cats, loves food, thinks big, has a passion for life, and occasionally sleeps somewhere in-between all that!
